Mallorca tips: Brunch in Palma – Josie Loves

Palma not only enchants with its historic old town, rich culture and fantastic location by the sea – the capital of Mallorca also has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine!

There are numerous high-quality restaurants, charming cafes and creative brunch spots with international influences. And every time we visit Palma, we look forward to revisiting favorite places and getting to know new openings. Today we would like to dedicate ourselves to our favorite culinary topic and introduce you to our personal breakfast café favorites!

Breakfast in Palma de Mallorca: our favorite cafes

Santina Brunch & More, Carrer d’Anníbal, 19

One of our brunch favorites in our favorite Santa Catalina neighborhood for years. The menu includes pancakes, bowls and Turkish eggs, among other things.

Mama Carmen’s (Carrer de Cervantes, 21)

Delicious, healthy, vegetarian dishes and great coffee specialties in a very nice location – also in Santa Catalina.

Brunch, Plaza Cappelers, 2

The popular Spanish brunch restaurant chain also has a location in the heart of Palma. And even if it is not an individual Mallorcan café, Brunchit should definitely not be missing from this list! The selection of highlights on the menu will make every brunch lover’s heart beat faster. Any examples? Different variations of hotcakes, toasts, bowls and breakfast burgers!

SĀNTAL, Carrer de la Indústria, 15

The charming café is located in a former windmill and not only offers a unique atmosphere, but also many brunch specialties – from avocado toast and pancakes to bowls to banana bread and carrot cake.

Palma Bread, Plaça del Progrés, 14

Anyone who loves good bread is guaranteed to be happy at Palma Bread! The charming bakery opened in the Santa Catalina district around five years ago – and has been delighting customers ever since with a fine selection of breads and sweet treats. There is also a small seating area where you can enjoy excellent coffee with a buttery almond croissant.

Two more locations have now been added – including a larger café in the old town (Plaça Frederic Chopin 1) with an extensive breakfast menu, where the sweet and savory baked goods are always the star of the dishes.

Surry Hills, C. del Carme, 12

The Australian breakfast culture is unique, and Surry Hills transports this very special feeling to Mallorca. There are many tempting breakfast dishes in the charming café – from avocado smash to the bacon & egg burger to French toast. And of course the specialty coffee shouldn’t be missed either!

LILI’s Brunch & Cocktails, Plaça del Mercat, 3

In one of Palma’s most beautiful squares, brunch is served until the afternoon, and in the evening the café transforms into a casual cocktail bar. And the brunch menu is really impressive! In addition to creative bowls and various egg dishes, there is also a great selection of toasts and sandwiches – as well as waffles and cakes. Be sure to grab a spot outside to watch the hustle and bustle at Plaça del Mercat.

Fika Farina, C. del Sindicat, 4

It’s hard to choose a favorite because both the almond croissant and the cinnamon knot in the fika farina are to die for! And there’s also the bread and the pain au chocolat…

Plant Shack, Carrer de Dameto, 8

As the name suggests, the cuisine at Plant Shack is purely plant-based. And as we all know, plants can do a lot! From bowls to sandwiches to fantastic banana bread – you can get a great selection of healthy, vegan dishes at Plant Shack. By the way, there is another branch in Palma, in the old town (Carrer de l’Argenteria 18).

SOLO Santa Catalina, Carrer d’Anníbal, 18

I ate what was probably the best carrot cake of my life in this magical little café in the heart of Santa Catalina. And by the way, the good coffee alone is always worth a visit. Not to forget the very fair prices! And all the other delicacies that are on the menu!
