About Tutoronics
Tutoronics is an online tutoring platform connecting students with qualified and experienced tutors to provide personalised academic support. We are looking for knowledgeable and dedicated Geography tutors to teach students following international curricula, including IGCSE, AS Level, and A Level.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive online Geography lessons.
- Explain geographical concepts, processes, and theories clearly using examples, maps, diagrams, and case studies.
- Teach relevant topics such as physical geography, human geography, population, urban environments, climate, weather, rivers, coasts, tectonic processes, ecosystems, and global development according to the assigned curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, revision notes, case studies, and past-paper practice aligned with the relevant exam board.
- Help students develop map-reading, data interpretation, analytical, and evaluation skills.
- Support students with exam preparation and geographical fieldwork concepts where applicable.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
- Conduct online classes using Google Meet, Zoom, digital whiteboards, and screen-sharing tools.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of online tutoring experience.
- Strong subject knowledge in Geography.
- Experience teaching IGCSE, AS Level, and/or A Level students.
- Familiarity with relevant international curricula and exam boards, such as Cambridge International and Pearson Edexcel.
- Excellent English communication and explanation skills.
- Ability to explain geographical processes, interpret maps and data, and use relevant case studies effectively.
- Proficiency in online teaching tools, including Google Meet, Zoom, digital whiteboards, and screen sharing.
- A relevant degree in Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable environment for online teaching.
- Ability to deliver structured, engaging, and student-focused lessons.
