Dear ones, I wish you a good start to 2026 from the bottom of my heart! The Josie loves year starts a little later than planned because the last few days went a little differently than planned for me.
It really hit me just in time for the end of the year and so I spent the New Year in bed with a high fever and everything else that flu has to offer. I’m still recovering, but I’m feeling better now and this morning, after a few days of doing nothing (I don’t think I’ve slept as much as I did this week in years), I woke up feeling very motivated to type this update for you.
As unfortunate as the little forced break around the turn of the year is, I’m really looking forward to everything that’s on our calendar in the coming months. Of course, Chris and I have already planned one or two trips for the coming months. In line with this, our Travel Bucket List 2026 will also go online in the next few days.
When I think back to December, I can’t believe all of this happened in a single month. We traveled to South Tyrol for almost two weeks for various projects, then did a Christmas production in Tyrol and then spent a very intensive week at home. Among other things, I was in Frankfurt the evening before Christmas with Sue and our dads to see the musical “A Christmas Story” based on Charles Dickens, and we were able to experience the Harlem Gospel Singers live in Mannheim. Two such wonderful evenings in a week in which there were also sad moments. Sometimes it’s hard not to be able to do more than “be there for each other” when people in your close circle are not doing well. I know that 2025 has been a very tough year for a few people close to you, but also for many of you. That’s why the only resolution and wish for us and you is: to be happy. Or as Sue put it so beautifully on Instagram: “I hope that in 2026 we will be happy and not just strong.”

“Less Stress by Sue Fengler Retreat“ in the Pension Leuchtenburg
Speaking of Sue: As you know, last August we were together at Pension Leuchtenburg and fell in love with this wonderful place on Lake Kaltern. I am so excited that Sue will be giving a retreat in this wonderful location this year. From October 29th to November 1st it will provide valuable inspiration for more ease and less stress in everyday life, accompanied by one of the most beautiful backdrops in South Tyrol and the most delicious food from Pension Leuchtenburg. Good to know: There is currently an Early Bird Special. Be sure to stop by here!

The first Sézane collection 2026 is here!
I know how much you love Sézane too, so I’ve put together a few favorites from the brand new (I really mean brand new, because the collection was launched today) collection.
And speaking of Sézane: my favorite sweater this winter also comes from the French brand and is still available (also in other color shades). I’m wearing the most comfortable jeans I’ve ever had. A look that suits almost any occasion, which I’m wearing a lot at the moment and prefer to combine with a camel coat and ankle boots as shown here.
