In short: “The Morning Show” ends after five seasons +++ Lawsuit against OpenAI because ChatGPT advised against visiting a doctor | News

The series “The Morning Show” with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon was among the first content on Apple’s streaming service. It had been known since last autumn that a fifth season was planned, which would start at the end of 2026 or beginning of 2027. While the press release at the time did not provide any further information about the future of production, Apple has now confirmed speculation about a possible end. Season 5 will be the series finale and will conclude the story of power struggles, scandals and moral conflicts behind the scenes of a major American breakfast television show. There have already been reactions from the two leading actresses. Aniston “laughs and cries” when she thinks about the final season coming out. Witherspoon, however, mentions “eight years, five seasons and so many memories.”
ChatGPT said what the user wanted to hear – and advised against visiting a doctor
Without a doubt, there are many tasks that LLMs like a ChatGPT can solve with flying colors – or at least provide helpful comments. However, the statement is especially true if you are aware of how the systems work. An LLM has no understanding of what it is telling. However, if you take all the answers at face value, since the output is of course given with full conviction and the user should agree as much as possible, this can cause problems.
There has now been a lawsuit against OpenAI in the USA because ChatGPT advised a man not to see a doctor. “God didn’t design your body to constantly fail,” goes the reasoning. The appointed lawyer argued that ChatGPT’s “sycophantic nature” had created dangerous consequences. The fact that the user had trained his ChatGPT in exactly this direction and simply got the answers he wanted to hear (“I can handle anything with my faith”) is likely to be a key point in the dispute. However, medically clearly false statements were made that should never have been made – which is why the user went to a doctor far too late, who discovered several blocked arteries.
