One Piece is reaching the climax of its latest mini-arc of sorts with episode #1158, and sure enough, it left plenty to be excited for episode #1159 and beyond. The overall direction of the Elbaph arc has yet to be revealed, but if everything that’s been delivered so far is just the prologue, then the true story is bound to be incredible.
Luffy and his friends continued their expedition through their mysterious new locale in search of answers, eventually pushing them to confront the mysterious ruler known as the Sun God, but as that unfolded, it soon became clear that things were not what they seemed and were somehow even crazier than they could have imagined. Everything escalated in an utterly bizarre way, but in typical One Piece fashion, that didn’t make it any less fun to see.
What Time One Piece Episode 1159 Releases

What Happened In One Piece Episode 1158?
One-Piece-Episode-1158-Sun-God
One Piece episode #1158, “A Quest in the Land of Mystery! The Secret of the Sun God”, picked up where episode #1159 left off, with Luffy’s group heading to a nearby town for answers. As they did, they ran into a man riding a giant grasshopper who told them they were in the “Land of the Gods” ruled by the Sun God and his animal servants. The man also warned them to turn back because the Sun God’s temple, protected by fearsome guardians, was down their path, but that just made Luffy run that way in search of adventure.
As Luffy ran off toward the temple, he ran into an invisible wall that shattered and revealed a netted door; the wall, as it turned out, was a giant mirror, and the Land of the Gods was nothing but a diorama owned by a giant. The Straw Hats exited the diorama to investigate further, and while they were reunited with Chopper, they also drew the attention of a giant snake, a giant bird, and three giant mice, thus forcing them into another fight.
One Piece’s Creator Is Making One Big Mistake With The Ending, and Elbaph Is Proof
Recent arcs have included stunning One Piece revelations that fans have waited decades to see, but the manga’s presentation of the story has changed.
While the animals were quickly dealt with, it wasn’t long before the Sun God appeared and went into a rampage at seeing his pets hurt and his room on fire. The Straw Hats retreated into the diorama and forced the giant cat to be their steed in a surprise encounter, and Nami revealed that she had found a map to the exit. That soon became their destination, but unfortunately, the Sun God had entered the diorama to chase after them, thus bringing the episode to a close.
One Piece’s Latest Adventure Feels Classic In The Best Of Ways
One-Piece-Episode-1158-Nami
Just like with One Piece episode #1157, One Piece episode #1158 excels in how much it feels like a classic One Piece adventure; not only are the stakes relatively low for the time being as the story focuses on a bizarre new adventure, but it’s all perfectly complemented by great action and animation and stellar comedy, as well. Many fans have lamented the loss of real adventures in modern One Piece, and so far, the Elbaph arc is more than rectifying that.
