Ingredients

  • 1
    whole Camembert
  • 1/4
    cup
    mixed chopped herbs*
  • 3
    tablespoons
    butter
    room temperature
  • 1/3
    cup
    plus 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • Kosher or flavored salt
  • 2
    teaspoons
    freshly grated lemon zest
  • Chopped herbs and lemon zest herbs for garnish
  • Crackers or flatbreads

Instructions

  1. Dice the herbs into small pieces. Set aside a few for garnish in a wet paper towel.

  2. Beat the butter and cream cheese until smooth.

  3. Fold in the chopped herbs and 1 teaspoon of lemon zest.

  4. Season with salt.

  5. Halve the well-chilled Camembert horizontally.

  6. Spread the herb cream on the bottom half and replace top.

  7. Cover the top and sides with the mixture.

  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

  9. Plate and garnish the Camembert with the remaining chopped herbs.

  10. Serve with crackers or flatbreads.
