In short: Environmental protection boss Jackson has left Apple +++ Long delivery times for the MacBook Pro M4 before the update | News

Apple’s management faced some changes last year. There is a new CFO (Maestri left, Parekh followed), and Sabih Khan has been COO for several months instead of Jeff Williams. Apple probably replaced AI boss Giannandrea because of dissatisfaction with his performance rather than due to age. UI development chief Alan Dye also announced his departure a few weeks ago. The previous chief legal officer Kate Adams is currently handing over the baton to Jennifer Newstead – and Apple’s face for environmental protection, Lisa Jackson, has also left her post after 12 years.

Apple had already announced the step in December, but now her departure has been completed and her entry has been removed from the profile pages. Your areas, i.e. environment, politics and social initiatives, will be divided differently in the future; there will be no direct replacements. Instead, environmental protection/politics are now moving to operations, reporting to COO Khan.

Long delivery times for MacBook Pro M4 before update
The earliest time to get the new MacBook Pro 14″/16″ with M5 Pro and M5 Max is the last week of January. According to recent speculation, Apple’s plan is to launch the Creator Studio along with said devices. There is now another indication for the theory in question, namely the sharp increase in delivery times. While Apple delivers the MacBook Pro 14″ M5 immediately after ordering, things are completely different with the larger models.

You have to wait until the end of January or even the second week of February for all configurations of the MacBook Pro 16″. For years, such shifts at the end of the model cycle have been considered an indication of impending updates. Since the huge interest in the models, which have now been available for around 14 months, has certainly not suddenly broken out, a presentation within the next two weeks is becoming increasingly likely. Incidentally, January 29th is also listed on Apple’s Amazon channel (), one day after the Creator Studio was published.
