Hotel MyPARADIES: South Tyrol’s Mountain Escape

There are hotel reopenings, and then there are revivals. The newly reimagined MyPARADIES in Sulden, South Tyrol, is unmistakably the latter. After an extensive renovation, this 4-star-superior retreat has re-emerged with a clear vision: effortless luxury, alpine authenticity, and the kind of calm that can only be found when you’re high enough to touch the clouds.

Set within the Stelvio National Park, at the very foot of the Ortler, South Tyrol’s highest peak, MyPARADISE has always been about its setting — the vast silence, the sharp light, the way the mountains seem to hold their breath. That atmosphere remains, but now it’s framed by a fresh aesthetic and a sharper sense of intention.

The redesign is quietly confident. Seventy-two rooms and suites now follow an alpine lifestyle approach: warm woods, soft textiles, generous bathrooms, and, wherever possible, a balcony or terrace opening out to the peaks. Some suites feature a private spa with a steam bath, experience shower, and Finnish sauna. The style is elegant but unfussy — a space made for rest, not for show.

This is an Adults-Only light hotel, welcoming guests aged 12 and over, which keeps the tone tranquil without being austere. Open through winter, summer, and autumn, MyPARADIES makes the most of its dramatic location: a place for skiing, hiking, or simply doing nothing whatsoever. The Kanzel ski slope runs directly to the hotel — a proper ski-in/ski-out experience when the snow allows — yet it feels just as suited to slow mornings and mountain air.

The culinary experience has been completely rethought. MyPARADIES now runs on a refined All-Inclusive concept, offering breakfast, a light lunch, and a served evening menu that blends South Tyrolean produce with contemporary flair. Evenings flow naturally between the Bar Paradiso, all low light and fireplace warmth, and La Terrazza, a year-round terrace with panoramic views. The Chamin Lounge offers board games, books, and soft drinks on tap, while the Vinarium hosts intimate wine and cheese tastings that feel anything but routine.

The wellness area has been transformed too. Guests can drift between the indoor pool with grotto, the adults-only SkyPool, and two outdoor whirlpools overlooking the Alpine region. The sauna world offers a Finnish sauna with floor-to-ceiling views, a steam bath, and a gentle bio sauna. Treatments use Vinoble Cosmetics, with a menu designed around regional natural ingredients. A fitness studio, yoga, Pilates, and stretching sessions complete the offering — a rare blend of movement and stillness that feels genuinely restorative.

What makes MyPARADISE compelling is how balanced it feels. The renovation hasn’t chased trends; it’s refined what was already there.

Sulden itself remains one of the last authentic alpine enclaves — quiet, remote, and somehow still under the radar. It’s the sort of place where silence feels like a luxury in itself. MyPARADISE fits perfectly into that rhythm: discreet, confident, and deeply connected to the surrounding landscape.

If the aim was to create a modern alpine retreat that feels both timeless and true, MyPARADIES has done exactly that. It’s not a reinvention for reinvention’s sake — it’s a return to essence. The kind of place that doesn’t need to impress because it already understands what its guests are looking for: stillness, style, and the art of breathing again.
