One Piece, the story of everyone’s favorite future Pirate King’s rise to fame, is quickly picking up steam as the anime kicks off the highly anticipated Elbaph Arc, landing the show a top spot in 2026’s Spring lineup. Finding themselves lost in a LEGO-inspired landscape that’s suspiciously empty, the Straw Hats Pirates are once again forced to start all over to find their bearings on another new island.
One Piece Episode 1158, titled “A Quest in the Land of Mystery! The Secret of the Sun God,” introduces the Straw Hats to their first new Giants since setting foot on Elbaph Island. Unfortunately for Luffy’s crew, the pirates get off on the wrong foot with them, setting up a major reckoning in next week’s episode, One Piece Episode 1159, “Escape Block Kingdom.”

One Piece Introduces a New God in The Elbaph Arc’s Latest Episode
Although Luffy’s connection to Sun God Nika is well-established, One Piece’s Gods are still largely mysterious figures in the series. One Piece Episode 1158 adds to the mystique surrounding the Sun God in particular by introducing another character who claims the title. Before squaring off with this Sun God, however, Luffy has to answer to another Giant.
The first Giant the Straw Hat Pirates encounter in Elbaph’s Block Kingdom is a groundskeeper riding a massive grasshopper like a motorcycle, and the crew quickly deduces that they caused him a great deal of trouble in One Piece Episode 1157 by beating up two of the animals in his care. Fortunately, they manage to get directions from the friendly Giant without blowing up their spot in the latest episode.
However, the next Giant that Luffy’s crew runs into is a much bigger challenge. After breaking into the Sun God’s temple and getting into an all-out battle with the Giant-sized animals sheltered there, the Straw Hats end the episode cornered by a mysterious hooded figure, whom the crew presumes to be the Sun God they were warned about.

Tony Tony Chopper’s reunion with the Straw Hats in the latest episode is a huge relief, but that’s about the only comforting thing heading into One Piece‘s next episode. The Straw Hat Captain is already prepared for a fight in his iconic Gear 5 form, so it’s almost guaranteed that a fight is about to break out. The outcome depends entirely on the truth behind the mystery of this alleged Sun God.
One Piece Episode 1159 is confirmed for release on Crunchyroll on Sunday, April 26, 2026. Fans can also stream the new episodes on a delay on Netflix. Titled “Escape Block Kingdom,” the next episode in the Elbaph Arc is poised to be a battle, and the fight is shaping up to be Luffy vs the Sun God. If the two clash, big revelations about the history of Sun God Nika are on the horizon, which is great news for One Piece fans.
The Elbaph Arc’s English Dub Makes a Great Case For Anime Simuldubs

One Piece fans around the world are looking forward to watching the Elbaph Arc in English as soon as possible. The English voice actors for One Piece‘s anime make up one of the most beloved casts of any currently airing anime. Unfortunately, One Piece‘s English dub has only caught up with the Egghead Arc so far.
As the global anime audience grows, Crunchyroll and other streaming platforms have started to recognize that a good English dub can fast-track a show’s success. Crunchyroll’s Spring 2026 lineup features several anime that release episodes with English subtitles and English dub options, including Daemons of the Shadow Realm, Witch Hat Atelier, Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Dorohedoro, Kill Blue and Go For It, Nakamura-kun!!, to name a few.
If all that One Piece‘s Elbaph Arc seems to be missing is an English dub, then it’s safe to say that anime fans are in good hands this Spring with the future King of the Pirates.
