Life Style

My workout routine. – by Jessie Weiss

The fact that I can claim to be a “sporty person” in 2026 was honestly never on my bingo card. I’ve been exercising continuously for 6 years, and for the past two years I’ve felt like I’ve really arrived – even though fitness doesn’t have an end date, I’ll be doing exercise until the end of what I hope will be a long and healthy life.

Finding a routine, on the other hand, took a lot of work, time, trial and error, overcoming the frustration and, for me, being fit for my children for as long as possible. Being able to run after the rascals without getting stitches in the side, being able to drag their scooters and stuff and constantly cleaning up after them. But also to be a role model for them. That exercise is fun in everyday life and keeps your head fit.

I do Pilates with weights, yoga and strength training with a subscription Melissa Wood Health. I love the variety, I love the duration of 20-40 minutes a day. My codes for the subscription are permanently valid:

JOURNELLES5 : You only pay $5 the first month! JOURNELLES10: You get 10% off your annual subscription!

Realistically, I do MWH subscription 4 to 5 times a week, because I’ve been doing that lately Gym Monster by Speediance use. Johan gave me this part for my birthday and covers everything in the area of strength. You can lift up to 120kg and that’s it Muscle building nothing more in the way. However, I don’t find this type of training that sexy, so I only do it twice a week.

I now really enjoy going to Pilates and yoga classes on the weekends, for example Heated Flows very happy at Becycle in Mitte. But I’m always open to new studios, like doing Reformer or Lagree.

In addition: Walks. I know, I know: the 10,000 steps a day is a myth. But it is also a fact that everyday exercise has made a significant difference in my weight loss. My Oura ring has calculated that at best I take 12,500 steps a day and the longer I walk in the park or forest, the better my nerves feel. I don’t reach that number every day, but I’m definitely always trying to get in as much exercise as possible.

tennis! Definitely my most irregular sport, but I’ve been able to do it once a week since the start of the summer season <3 I have coaching lessons with a friend from the neighborhood after I played as a teenager. It's just so much fun and the best feeling to have picked up the thread again 20 years later.

Less often, but maybe once a week: jog. I don’t love it, I don’t get a runner’s high, but I can at least do 4 kilometers to get my heart rate really high. Cardio is a must in a good exercise routine and yes, I would like to be better, but jogging will definitely never be my greatest passion.

Now I always work from home and therefore – like a good stereotypical yoga mom – I actually wear my workout outfits all the time. They are simply extremely comfortable and now look great too. I love Lululemon and Arket and currently rarely go without mine Flared leggings out of the house!

I have ankle weights and dumbbells ranging from 2 to 5 kilos. My yoga mat is from Studio Lietz. The You can find links here.

You could also jump in place, I love that Vibration plate but to relax. Almost meditative, the thing shakes everything up, activates the lymph and blood circulation and has been an integral part of my routine since the beginning of the year! I do it 3-5 times a week for 10 minutes. Important: Always stand on your knees so that nothing really affects your joints.

Of course it’s used more regularly in winter, but it’s a constant favorite for my daily steps! I always say that this thing made me fit. I even started jogging because of it. This is mine Model A1but now I would go to 12km/h instead of just 6km/h.

When written together, my exercise routine seems like a lot, but it doesn’t feel like it to me. Because a life without exercise is more difficult for me than a life without it.
