You should definitely try the basic overnight oats recipe based on Jamie Oliver! It is perfect for quickly and easily preparing breakfast for the week. Funnily enough, I didn’t discover the recipe from Jamie, but on the Überseegirl’s food blog. Under the motto “Cook my recipe”, a food blogger campaign, it was drawn to me and I chose this recipe from her blog and cooked it to introduce it to you! My recommendation: Very tasty and easy – definitely try it!

Overnight oats basic recipe and the “Cook my recipe” campaign
If I’m honest, I completely missed Volker’s “Cook my recipe” campaign. A really magical campaign where you get another blog drawn and then cook a recipe. And so I discovered a great blog that you should definitely check out: The Overseas Girl! Lots of great recipes, I couldn’t decide. Funnily enough, I chose a recipe from Jamie Oliver. How could it be otherwise. I had already discovered it in his book “Eat yourself healthy” *, but somehow I wasn’t that enthusiastic about it, but the overseas girl was. It was really tasty last week. I staged Jamie Oliver’s basic overnight oats recipe in two ways: once as a tiramisu overnight oats and once with raspberries and strawberries. Both were really tasty!

The “Cook my recipe” campaign – the big recipe exchange
A big thank you to Volker, such actions really revitalize the blogging world, although this week I was told that blogs were dead. On the contrary, well over 1,000 people visit me every day. You ask yourself why, in the age of AI? They probably trust someone more who is active in the culinary world and tries out new recipes every day. I think this campaign is super nice because it shows once again how different you can interpret a recipe and how nice it is to exchange ideas about recipes. There used to be a “Post from my Kitchen” campaign where a partner was drawn and a package was sent to them with prepared recipes based on a specific theme. Also a great campaign because it connects people somewhere in the world.

Overnight oats basic recipe with fruit
The strawberry season is just starting, so it’s perfect for a variation of the basic overnight oats recipe with fruit. The overseas girl had orange fillets, cherries and almonds, as Jamie Oliver recommends. I did it very simply: a layer of overnight oats, a layer of frozen raspberries, a layer of overnight oats, a layer of frozen raspberries and on top of that fresh strawberries. Really delicious! However you try it, the basic overnight oats recipe is so delicious that you can’t go wrong.
Overnight oats basic recipe as tiramisu
Doesn’t that look really good? And I can tell you it tastes really good too! The basic recipe is refined with espresso and cocoa: Jamie Oliver’s information was quite rudimentary. The overseas girl, on the other hand, recommends more precisely: 4 teaspoons of espresso, 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt and a good pinch of baking cocoa (about 1 tablespoon). I tried this and thought it was great!
