Apple released the Creator Studio yesterday: Anyone who is willing to pay a monthly or annual fee will have access to some pro apps from the creative sector. In fact, Cupertino’s Office suite also benefits from the subscription because it unlocks some exclusive features in Numbers, Keynote and Pages. However, it is important to have the latest version of the applications installed. This doesn’t necessarily happen automatically: one update is enough for the iOS and iPad OS versions, but a separate download is required on the Mac. New app downloads for version 15.1
The Creator Studio may be a useful option for creatives, but since its release it has also caused confusion: Updates to version 14.5 for Pages, Numbers and Keynote are available in the Mac App Store, which, according to Apple, come with “bug fixes and performance improvements”. However, after opening the software, a message pops up: There will no longer be updates for these programs; instead, Apple recommends deleting them and installing the new version. In fact, the three apps can be downloaded separately in version 15.1 from the App Store – a Creator Studio subscription is not necessary to purchase them.

Freemium apps that highlight subscription features in color
The current versions can be recognized by the revised icons, and the design is different: features that require the Creator Studio are colored purple.

Functions like this require the Creator Studio
Basically, these are freemium apps that do not limit the range of services currently available, but reserve new functions for subscribers. If you have a Creator Studio subscription, all apps can access a new “content hub” for photos and graphics. In Keynote, slides can also be automatically created from existing text for a first draft and provided with moderator notes if desired. Layout adjustments are also possible. Numbers generates formulas using the Magic Fill option, and Pages offers suggestions for image borders.
Deactivate analysis via opt-out
By the way, on the iPhone and iPad, an update of the existing apps is sufficient to get the current version. By the way, Apple evaluates analysis data for the three applications. To prevent this, users must open the respective software on the Mac, click on its name in the menu bar and then click on “Data protection and analysis”. On the iPhone and iPad, you must use the Settings app to configure each app separately. It is advisable to then close the settings: If this is not done, for some users the analysis will be switched on again after opening the apps.
