Antigua and Barbuda Launches First Culinary Crawl Experience During Culinary Month

The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority launched its first Culinary Crawl Experience, taking guests on a flavor-filled journey through five top restaurants on Antigua’s north side. The event celebrated local cuisine, hospitality, and Culinary Month while reinforcing Antigua and Barbuda’s growing reputation as a premier Caribbean culinary destination.

The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority successfully hosted its first-ever Culinary Crawl Experience on Thursday evening, offering guests an immersive journey through five of Antigua’s standout restaurants on the island’s north side. The event celebrated the vibrant and evolving culinary landscape of Antigua and Barbuda while giving patrons the opportunity to sample a wide range of flavors, atmospheres, and signature dishes in a single evening.

Participating restaurants included Charr’d, Bay House Restaurant & Bar, Weatherill’s, Sips and Tips, and Bar None. Guests were treated to a curated culinary experience that highlighted local cuisine, warm hospitality, and the distinctive dining offerings that continue to position Antigua and Barbuda as a rising gastronomic destination in the Caribbean.

The evening was sponsored by Anjo’s Wholesale, which created the event’s signature welcome cocktail, the “Red Stripe Hibiscus,” setting the tone for a festive and flavorful night.

Speaking on the significance of the event, Shermain Jeremy, Special Projects and Events Manager at the Tourism Authority, said:

“Today’s first Culinary Crawl shows exactly why Antigua and Barbuda has earned recognition as the Caribbean’s Best Emerging Culinary Destination. Culinary Month is about more than dining — it is about celebrating our chefs, local food spots, communities, and the authentic flavors that tell the story of who we are. This experience brings visitors and residents closer to the people and places shaping Antigua and Barbuda’s growing culinary identity.”

The Culinary Crawl Experience forms part of the Tourism Authority’s broader initiative to strengthen Antigua and Barbuda’s reputation as a premier culinary destination while supporting local restaurants, chefs, and tourism stakeholders.

The culinary celebrations continue throughout May as part of Restaurant Week and Culinary Month activities, with additional experiences planned across the island, including:

  • Southside Culinary Crawl – May 14
  • Eat Like a Local Tour – May 16th
  • English Harbor Culinary Crawl – May 17th

The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority is encouraging both residents and visitors to participate in the upcoming events and explore the rich and diverse flavors that define Antigua and Barbuda’s culinary identity.
