Every year, the keynote speech at Apple’s World-Wide Developers’ Conference (WWDC) marks the beginning of the testing phase for all beta versions: from the beginning of June to mid-September, unstable pre-release versions are available for registered developers (and a little later also for interested users). The keynote at the start of the five-day event always receives the most attention; Three hours later, Apple addresses the developers directly with Platforms State of the Union. But the sessions and the reporting surrounding the WWDC event also contain interesting details. Michael Tsai has put together an extensive list with many links to both official and unofficial sources. In the “Documentation” and “Sessions” categories you will only find links to official sources published by Apple. “Documentation” collects revised or newly released frameworks, resources, notes on the beta versions of operating systems and Safari, and technotes. All newly released, pre-produced and live recorded “Labs” are listed under “Sessions”. Tsai has loosely grouped them by topic. If you click on one of the links, the developer app opens. There they can be viewed, saved for later consumption using the bookmark function or downloaded for an upcoming train journey using the three-dot menu.

“Podcasts” brings together the WWDC episodes of major English-language podcasts from the Apple enthusiast scene, such as 695: The Crystal Pepsi of Aqua from the Accidental Tech Podcast or the panel discussion with Myke Hurley and Christopher Lawley from MacStories. The two-hour live recording of “The Talk Show” by John Gruber, the blogger behind “Daring Fireball,” is available in audio, YouTube and 3D video versions.
