As the 22-year-old daughter of a tailor from Istanbul, Dila Ekrem has taken a path that is extremely unusual. She says she wanted to start a business as a child, she says. Because the father is also a small business owner and she sees that he enjoys going to work six days a week. After all, it is his tailoring shop, his own business. Ekrem also knew early on that her company should be in the tech sector and ideally not in Turkey.
She has now launched her first startup in Munich and raised more than one million euros pre-seed for it. It’s about the construction industry – and about AI, of course.
