Here’s how to do it step by step
Making the ginger shot is child’s play and doesn’t require a huge amount of effort. If you have a high-performance blender like the Thermomix or Vitamix, then you can sit back and relax even more because it really works on its own.
Preparation (2 minutes): Wash all ingredients thoroughly. If you want to avoid bitterness, peel oranges and lemons completely. Otherwise, with organic quality you can leave the peel on. Cut everything into rough pieces – the Thermomix does the rest.
Crushing (30 seconds): First put the ginger in the Thermomix for 2 seconds on level 8. Push down briefly, then add all the other ingredients except the honey. Mix at speed 10 for 30 seconds until everything is really fine.
Strain (2 minutes): Now the strainer cloth is used. Place a sieve over a bowl, place the strainer cloth in it and pour the mixture through. Then it’s time to squeeze it out! The better you press, the more shot you get out. The remaining pomace goes into a can – perfect for the next soup or muesli!
If you don’t have the Thermomix, you can of course use any other high-performance mixer. The only important thing is that he gets the ginger really small.
