As we all know, anticipation is the greatest joy. And honestly? The anticipation of summer has increased immeasurably with the first really warm days of spring last week (followed by the current addition of winter). And while I’m sitting here on the couch wrapped up in a cozy sweater, I would like to share a few wishes for the summer of 2026 with you.
As you know, I’m a huge fan of to-do lists, which I write down either imaginarily or in one of my numerous little notebooks. Or here on the blog to share plans and thoughts with you. What have I planned for this summer? A whole lot – as always! A few small and big resolutions for the warm season.
(My) bucket list for summer 2026 (in Munich)
1. Watch at least one film in an outdoor cinema.
2. Move your home office outdoors as often as possible when the sun is shining.
3. Spending a lot of time (at the lakes) in the Munich area and simply moving our free Sunday to the day of the week with the best weather.

4. Pay a visit to all the beautiful public roof terraces in Munich.
5. Spend as many lunch breaks as possible with a good book on the Isar.

6. Get to know a new country (or at least a completely new region) in Europe. The only requirement: our destination must be by the sea!
7. Eat lots of strawberries, peaches, raspberries, apricots, cherries, mirabelle plums and nectarines.

8. Attend at least one open-air concert. The Happiness Festival in our hometown of Hockenheim at the beginning of September has already been set for us personally, but there is definitely more to come.
9. Try out new ice cream parlors in Munich (and then introduce them on the blog).

10. On hot summer weekends, pack your picnic basket and cycle to a nice spot.
