Cookies: Spaghetti ice cream variant as an original recipe

Spaghetti ice cream cookies

Cookies – every year I test a new flavor and thanks to social media: spaghetti ice cream cookies have just captured my heart! While looking for new inspiration, I stumbled across it on Instagram and thought how fun, I have to try it. The cookies are truly delicious. The cookie dough itself tastes exceptionally good. No wonder, it comes with a sachet of pudding powder. The spaghetti is then pressed onto the cookie using a garlic press (crazy, right?!), it works great and looks fun. After baking, everything is refined with strawberry jam and white chocolate sprinkles, which really brings out the character of the spaghetti ice cream! So delicious, I tell you, you have to try it!!!

What?! Spaghetti ice cream as a cookie? Super delicious!!

Oh yes! The idea is great and I really like everything in miniature format, so these cookies were a hit with me. The combination of a vanilla-like dough refined with marzipan (if you like) and then the classic spaghetti ice cream toppings such as strawberry sauce as strawberry jam and grated white chocolate that trickles down onto the cookies like snow, that’s perfect and the spaghetti ice cream fans get their money’s worth! At this point I would also like to recommend the spaghetti ice cream cake, which is delicious not only in summer! Let’s get spaghetti ice cream on our plate even in the dreary winter, what could be better?

Cookies, gift from the kitchen

Homemade cookies – the perfect gift from the kitchen

Do you also like to give away homemade gifts from the kitchen? How about these cookies? Either in a pretty glass with a bow. Or in a transparent bag. My friend showed me a creative packaging option, to do this you either use a transparent bag without a bottom or cut off the bottom and fold the end and staple it, I provided it with a golden washi tape and then you fold it crosswise into a triangle, put cookies in it and then fold the open side again and staple it and decorate it with an adhesive tape or something similar. Have fun giving as gifts!

Recipe cookies in spaghetti ice cream form

Makes approx. 30 cookies depending on size, approx. 30 minutes preparation time plus 1 hour cooling time and 2×10 minutes baking time

Ingredients

150g butter

100g powdered sugar

1 pinch of salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract or vanilla from the pod

1 egg

250 g flour (for me 630 type spelled flour)

1 P vanilla pudding powder

100g marzipan

approx. 80 g strawberry jam

approx. 25 g white chocolate – preferably frozen, then it is easier to grate

preparation

  1. Cut the butter into cubes to make it a little softer. Then mix the butter, powdered sugar, salt, vanilla and the egg well, preferably in the food processor.
  2. Add the flour and pudding powder and knead everything into a smooth dough. Put the dough in the fridge for an hour, well wrapped of course.
  3. Preheat oven: 160° fan oven. Remove approx. 200 g of the dough for the spaghetti and set aside.
  4. Roll out the remaining dough on a floured work surface and cut out approx. 30 circles or similar. Line trays with baking paper and place the cookies there.
  5. Grate the marzipan into the 200g dough and knead it well. Remove the dough in portions, place it in a clean garlic press and press it into circles, like spaghetti.
  6. With a floured round object, e.g. B. Make a hole in the middle with the handle of a wooden spoon and bake for about 10-12 minutes.
  7. After it has cooled, spread the strawberry jam into the cavity and grate the chocolate on top with a grater.

Bon appetite!
