My favorite items of 2025 – Josie Loves

It has now become a blog tradition that at the end of the year I don’t share the most clicked blog posts with you, but rather my personal favorite articles.

The ones that were particularly close to my heart when I was writing, and the ones that I received the most personal messages from you about.

“Most clicked” always means that these articles were accessed most often via Google and rarely that they are read frequently by those around the day of publication (i.e. by the loyal readers). Of course, on Google and Pinterest, top ten lists perform much, much better in the long term than very personally written columns. I am most happy when a travel report written with a lot of passion is well received by you and is one of the most read articles on Google, Pinterest and the like year after year, such as this one: Our Italian road trip from Munich to Apulia. An article that has consistently been one of the most read articles of the year for the past six years. Likewise, the breakfast in Munich list, which we take great pleasure in updating year after year.

Here are my personal 2025 top ten. By the way, the arrangement of these ten articles is completely arbitrary.

1. How Bali became South Tyrol

2. Being human: What AI can’t do

3. Tips for a Bridget Jones trip in London and the Cotswolds

4. Favorite places in Merano and Environment

5. Sea, sun, time and moments of happiness

6. How valuable our togetherness is

7. And suddenly you’re really an adult

8. Travel blogging = non-stop vacation?

9. Three days in Munich: Our tips for a city trip (Part Two + Part Three)

10. There is a rainbow between black and white

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all those who will still read blog articles regularly in 2025. This is certainly not a given in times of fast-moving social media videos. Thank you for still being here, even though fewer articles are now online than a few years ago, as Josie Loves’ hotel photography has added another very time-consuming project close to her heart. And by the way, it was only possible thanks to the blog.

As always, I’m very happy to receive your feedback: Which Josie Loves articles did you like the most this year, which columns and travel articles did you enjoy reading the most? And even more important: What topics do you want for the new year?
