2025 – Josie Loves

Yesterday I put together twelve photo collages for Instagram, one for each month of the year. To be honest, I had to smile a bit and maybe even shed a tear or two. Because these four pictures per month give a small insight into our year 2025, but only a tiny one.

There are no pictures of so many special moments because they happened privately somewhere in between. Professional highlights are always captured in pictures (after all, this is our job too), but I often only capture private jam jar moments in my heart. For me, true luxury is usually just living in the moment and not even thinking about “capturing it with a picture”.

And of course there are also the private, special moments that I have captured in pictures, but which are too private to share here. With family or friends’ children. With people who deliberately do not take place in this online bubble. What I notice myself year after year, even though I love a lot about my job: the more I move in this online world, the more precious my private life becomes to me. The protection of this very thing. Very few of my and our long-time friends have anything to do with this industry and honestly? That’s a good thing too! Don’t get me wrong, blogging has also created close friendships that I wouldn’t want to be without. But the most important thing is that they don’t define themselves by it. That although we got to know each other through the job, there is so much more that connects us.

But back to 2025. The year was so different than expected at the beginning. There were one or two emotional rollercoaster moments, and there were also a few tears. Of happiness, of sadness, of relief. But all in all it was a good year for Chris and me. This is not a given. And I am so, so grateful for that! You can’t imagine how grateful I am when I think about the last few years, which brought with them many health and mental challenges.

2025 was full of beautiful moments with favorite people and professionally fulfilling projects. But there were also farewells and new beginnings. There were tears of happiness, aha moments and projects close to my heart. There were challenges big and small this year too, but I still have such a positive outlook on the future. And a really nice feeling: I’m really looking forward to 2026!

Continue here! Have a nice last day of 2025 tomorrow and slide well into a positive, beautiful and healthy 2026! Chris and I are really looking forward to the next Josie loves year with you!
