Tough but fair
“A low point in talk show history”

Yes, it is difficult for us to add something, dear SZ: That was the most absurd thing we have heard so far in terms of attempted justification or even defense in the Lindemann case. Music manager Thomas Stein has said so many absurd things that we don’t know whether to cry or laugh. Because in “Tough but fairThis week it was about “The Rammstein case and the question: Men, are you really not further along yet?” – and we now know: obviously not. At least when it comes to men like Thomas Stein. And about women like local politician Lisa Schäfer. The show wasn’t primarily about Rammstein and sexual abuse; it was also racist, even though it was supposed to be about equality issues. Strange couple surveys from what feels like the last century as well as a lot of claims and, above all, phrases that were more reminiscent of discussions from 1994 and didn’t come out at a regular table level rounded the whole thing off.

If you, like us, want to waste your time and feel like being upset for far too long, you can watch the show again here. But be careful: it could be painful, scary and backwards for the ear and brain – especially at the point where Mr. Stein few affected women in relation to the other, around 300,000 other fans of Rammstein. An absurd round of discussions that even Stefanie Lohaus couldn’t save. But here you go:

There are more and more allegations against Till Lindemann. No one should feel discouraged from speaking openly about experiences. Therefore collect this initiative Money to support those presumably affected and to balance the balance of power.

Survey by Plan International

A third of young men in Germany find it acceptable if their hand occasionally “slips” towards women. This emerges from a representative survey (editor’s note: not a study!) by the development organization Plan International.

According to the Funke newspapers, the survey also shows that the image of the traditional “housewife” seems to be anchored in the minds of many men: 52 percent of men see their role as earning enough money – so that the woman can mainly take care of the household. According to the data, one in two young men does not want to enter into a relationship with a woman if she has already had many sexual partners.

Now for something nice – and more calming. Namely Hermann. Hermann and his cooking talent. This week there are babka-inspired baked goods – in the vegan version. Always fits and should be imitated urgently:

The best collaboration of the season

Carel x La Veste

Two of our favorite brands have joined forces and are celebrating an incredibly beautiful French-Catalan liaison: Carel & La Veste. Here the typical French Mary Janes meet delicate lilac and mint, ankle boots and bags with stripes and great color combinations. Everything is so beautiful! Here you can see all the creations at a glance.

Ganni x Ester Manas

Ganni is launching a size-inclusive collection and is committed to it Esther Manas snapped, a pioneer of inclusive design in the fashion industry. The Ester Manas label, founded in 2019, produces products in a responsible manner and advocates for a self-confident body image that should be celebrated far away from ideals of beauty.

The Ganni x Ester Manas collection consists of four dresses, swimwear and two T-shirts designed for women of various sizes and shapes. The collection is inspired by the beach and features colorful tones of blue, burgundy, black and a touch of soft pink. The dresses are slim-fitting and show off a lot of skin, while the swimwear celebrates summer with fun and joy. The T-shirts, which were seen on the Paris catwalk in 2022, show the logos of the two brands intertwined and are designed to be versatile and can be combined with any outfit. The materials used for the GANNI x Ester Manas collection are certified organic cotton, certified recycled polyamide and recycled polyester fabric. The sizes range from EU 32 to EU 52.

Everything new at Closed!

Yesterday afternoon was the big re-launch of our favorite Hamburg label Closed celebrated and we were allowed to join in the celebration (for reasons of transparency: flowers and a new model of jeans were given as gifts!). For the first time since its founding in 1978, the entire brand CI was subjected to a contemporary re-branding and filled with lots of color and warmth. The former denim brand has grown beyond itself in recent years and is now more than just one of the best addresses for good jeans. An extensive ready-to-wear line for all genders and accessories as well as shoes have long been part of the entire closed universe – and this should now also be reflected in the CI. What awaits us now? A new logo, a new visual identity and a freshly presented autumn campaign, which of course we didn’t want to withhold from you either. We can find out exactly what awaits us in the next few days and weeks. So stay tuned!

“In collaboration with Acne, a renowned creative agency based in Stockholm, Closed developed its elevated corporate design. The agency drew inspiration from Closed’s iconic denim model, the Pedal Pusher, and its distinctive X-pockets, which the brand developed and patented over 40 years ago. The new color palette. Shades of yellow, reflecting the brand’s warm character, are prominently featured.”

Louis Poulsen’s iconic Pale Rose in the “Artistic Version”

Unfortunately it’s not available for purchase, but we would definitely be blown away and on our way to it straight away Louis Poulsen. What a beautiful lamp! Heven was for the unique lamp installation for this year 3DaysofDesign at Louis Poulsen and conjured up incredibly beautiful creations. But see for yourself!

Reform launches new fronts & handles

Our Danish favorite reform is launching two new kitchen fronts: SHAKER, which is more reminiscent of a modern country house and cozy design (but of course can be taken completely out of context!) and PLAIN, a design, as the name suggests, completely timeless and minimalist.

In addition, new ones await you Handles in collaboration with Atelier Collection. Creations by Nina Nørgaard, Maria Bruun, Yukari Hotte and Alberte Tranberg are included. You can find more information about this on Reform!

Documentary tip: “Pussy, Pleasure, Power” at Arte

Female desire and sexuality are currently being celebrated like never before in pop culture. Artists like Rihanna, Lizzo, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion stage their bodies and sexuality explicitly and sensually. In Europe too, female artists such as Cocoa & Bounty, Liza Monet and Joanna are increasingly spreading the self-confident approach to their own desires.
For a long time, these very topics were frowned upon in pop culture and artists were marketed as sexy objects of desire. Why has that changed? And is the new one Pussy power actually a feminist act of self-empowerment? The documentary “attempts to answer this”Pussy, pleasure, power. Female desire in pop culture” on Arte to explore:
