A garden dream for Liz – her loving play area in the countryside

Hello everyone, there is hardly a place in our home that captures as much life, imagination and children’s laughter as Liz’s play area in the garden. For a long time I had the idea of a place that wasn’t just practical, but felt like a little world of its own – warm, quiet, playful and full of loving details. A place where children can simply be children. And that’s exactly what happened. Her magical garden house stands in the middle of the countryside – almost like something out of a picture book. The light wood look, the small windows and the cute flower boxes make it a real little home for your imagination. Sometimes it’s a café, sometimes a bakery, sometimes a family home or a small shop. I love how children can create their own worlds. Right next to it is the house-shaped sandpit, which fits so harmoniously into the garden as if it had always been there. I particularly valued the elegant white design and the small details such as the lamps and the natural materials. It looks calm and modern, but still soft and playful – exactly the mix I wanted for our garden. The sandbox is now one of the places where Liz can sit for hours. Baking cakes, building roads, burying treasures – something new is created there every day. Of course, the small white slide couldn’t be missed either. It brings just the right amount of adventure into the garden and still fits gently into the overall picture. I deliberately didn’t want any bright colors or too many different elements, but wanted to create a calm, harmonious atmosphere that still remained child-friendly and lively. But I especially love our little “garden café”. The golden table from Fermob with the matching small chairs are simply sweet and find a new place every day. There you can paint, picnic, eat ice cream or just sit together. There are often small cups there, a few flowers from the garden or little treasures that Liz has picked herself. It is precisely these everyday moments that make this place so special to me. The small Fatboy lamps also create that cozy atmosphere that I love so much. Even during the day, they give the garden something modern and incredibly warm at the same time. When the sun slowly sets in the evening and the light becomes softer, an atmosphere is created that seems almost magical. When designing it, it was important to me that this area not only looked beautiful, but also really felt like home. For security. A place where memories can be made. I firmly believe that children feel the love that lies in such little things. That they notice when a place was created with heart. And that’s exactly what this garden area has become for us: a little retreat full of imagination, children’s laughter and sunshine. A place where Liz and of course her big brother Tom live their childhood – and we can watch how the best memories are created from small moments!

Sincerely,

Looks like…COJA
