
Jamaica has earned the Caribbean Media Award for Best Social Media Campaign during CTO Caribbean Week in New York. The award recognizes the destination’s successful “Love Island Influencers” campaign promoting Reggae Marathon 2025, which generated more than one million views and showcased Jamaica’s innovative tourism marketing efforts.
NEW YORK — Jamaica has once again strengthened its reputation as one of the Caribbean’s premier tourism destinations after receiving a prestigious award during the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s (CTO) Caribbean Week celebrations in New York City.
The island nation was recognized for excellence in tourism marketing, earning the Caribbean Media Award for Best Social Media Campaign. The award honors tourism organizations that demonstrate exceptional creativity, audience engagement, and measurable success through digital and social media initiatives.
Jamaica secured the accolade for its “Love Island Influencers” campaign, which featured social media personalities covering the Reggae Marathon 2025. The campaign generated significant online engagement, attracting more than one million views and successfully showcasing Jamaica’s vibrant culture, sporting events, and tourism offerings to a global audience.
The awards were presented during Caribbean Week, the region’s leading tourism event that brings together government officials, travel industry leaders, media representatives, and stakeholders to celebrate achievements and discuss the future of Caribbean tourism.

Minister of Tourism Hon. Edmund Bartlett welcomed the recognition, describing it as a reflection of the dedication and resilience of Jamaica’s tourism sector.
“These awards are a testament to Jamaica’s unwavering commitment to excellence in tourism. They reflect the hard work, innovation, and collaboration of our tourism partners who continue to elevate Brand Jamaica on the global stage,” Bartlett said.
Director of Tourism Donovan White also highlighted the significance of receiving recognition from regional peers, emphasizing the role such accolades play in strengthening Jamaica’s competitive position within the Caribbean tourism market.
“Receiving these awards at Caribbean Week is particularly meaningful because they come from within our regional tourism community,” White said. “It reinforces the effectiveness of our marketing strategies, the strength of our tourism product, and the passion of the Jamaican people who create memorable experiences for every visitor.”
