Your Escape” campaign, encouraging Seychellois citizens and residents to explore their own islands through staycations, local experiences, special travel offers, and curated tourism activities.
The initiative, launched on June 1, aligns with Seychelles’ Golden Jubilee celebrations marking 50 years of Independence. It seeks to strengthen domestic tourism while encouraging residents to reconnect with the culture, heritage, natural beauty, and diverse experiences found across Mahé, Praslin, La Digue, and the surrounding islands.
As international tourism continues to play a vital role in the nation’s economy, the campaign highlights the growing importance of local travelers in supporting tourism businesses and sustaining year-round visitor activity across the archipelago.
Minister for Tourism and Culture Amanda Bernstein emphasizes the significance of the initiative during this milestone year.
“As we celebrate 50 years of Independence, Rediscover Seychelles invites residents to reconnect with the culture, heritage, natural beauty and experiences that make our islands unique. There has never been a better time for Seychellois and residents to discover new corners of our islands, support local tourism businesses and celebrate the people, places and experiences that define Seychelles,” she said.
The campaign will be delivered through a strategic collaboration between Seychelles.com and InsideSeychelles.com, combining destination marketing, digital storytelling, editorial features, and promotional offers designed to inspire residents to experience Seychelles from a new perspective.
Tourism operators participating in the campaign will receive dedicated visibility across both platforms and their marketing channels. Promotional offers will also be integrated into the Deals & Offers section of Seychelles.com, allowing businesses to manage listings while benefiting from expanded exposure throughout the campaign ecosystem.
Organizers expect the initiative to onboard at least 50 tourism businesses over the next three months. The campaign will feature regular promotional content, exclusive offers, and collaborative tourism packages tailored specifically for the local market.
A key focus of the initiative will be encouraging partnerships among accommodation providers, transport companies, excursion operators, restaurants, and activity providers. These collaborations are intended to create attractive, affordable, and accessible tourism experiences for residents while generating additional business opportunities across the tourism value chain.
