Mumbai / Ahmedabad / Delhi — Tourism Seychelles has reinforced its long-term commitment to the Indian market following a highly successful three-city roadshow across Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Delhi, as visitor arrivals from India surged nearly 75 percent in 2025.
The tourism board’s latest engagement initiative comes at a time when India is emerging as one of Seychelles’ fastest-growing and most strategically important source markets. The island destination welcomed approximately 13,400 Indian visitors in 2025, reflecting strong year-on-year growth driven by enhanced air connectivity, rising consumer confidence and growing interest in premium island experiences.
The roadshow brought together leading tourism stakeholders from Seychelles and India through destination presentations, networking sessions and one-on-one business meetings with travel agents, tour operators and tourism professionals.

The delegation also observed increasing demand from Indian travelers for more personalized and experience-driven journeys, including milestone celebrations, intimate weddings, family reunions, corporate retreats and curated group travel experiences.
Speaking during the roadshow, Sherin Francis said India has evolved into a key growth market for the destination.
“India has moved from being a market of opportunity to a strong growth market for Seychelles. The nearly 75% year-on-year increase in arrivals in 2025 reflects the growing confidence and interest we are seeing from Indian travelers, supported by improved connectivity and a stronger appetite for premium, experience-led holidays,” she said.
Francis noted that Indian traveler preferences are also expanding beyond traditional luxury and honeymoon segments.
“Indian travelers are now looking at Seychelles not only for honeymoons and luxury escapes, but also for family holidays, milestone celebrations, intimate weddings, incentive movements and curated group experiences. This gives us a clear opportunity to build more sustained, high-value demand from India,” she added.
Tourism Seychelles emphasizes that educating the travel trade remains a key priority as demand continues to diversify. The roadshow focused on helping Indian travel partners better understand the destination’s accommodation offerings, island-hopping opportunities and nature, wellness and marine experiences.
With India’s outbound travel market continuing to show strong appetite for premium and experiential tourism, Tourism Seychelles plans to further strengthen trade partnerships and destination visibility to support sustainable growth from the market in the years ahead.
