
The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has appointed Esteban Velásquez as Executive Vice President of Business Development and Membership. With over 25 years of experience, Velásquez will lead global growth initiatives, strengthen member value, and expand WTTC’s strategic influence across the international travel and tourism industry.
The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has announced the appointment of Esteban Velásquez as Executive Vice President of Business Development and Membership, reinforcing its commitment to driving growth and collaboration across the global travel and tourism sector.
In his new role, Velásquez will lead WTTC’s global business development initiatives and membership growth strategy, enhancing value for members while expanding the organization’s strategic reach across the industry.
With more than 25 years of experience in the tourism sector, Velásquez brings a strong track record in driving growth, digital transformation, and regional expansion across the global travel, hospitality, and technology industries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Throughout his career, he has played a key role in strengthening global partnerships, advancing industry growth, and fostering collaboration among business leaders, governments, and key stakeholders in international markets.

Prior to joining WTTC, Velásquez served as Chief Executive Officer of Karisma Hotels & Resorts, where he previously held the role of Chief Operating Officer. He also served as CEO of PriceTravel Holding and led Sales and Customer Management for Latin America at Saber Corporation, after having worked as Regional Managing Director.
