Synium Software, operator of MacTechNews.de, among others, has presented iFinance 5.5, another major update to the financial management and household accounting software – the fifth major update since the last major version was released. The program provides an accurate overview of where money comes from and where it goes, including categorization and analysis to accurately understand financial flow. iFinance also supports direct retrieval of bookings from many banks. The update to version 5.5 brings many new features. More modern interface
So that iFinance continues to fit harmoniously into the design of the system interface, version 5.5 has a modernized look. iFinance was carefully converted to Apple’s “Liquid Glass” design language, but with the aim of maintaining contrast and legibility – which resulted in quite economical use.

Further innovations
Contacts’ account details can now be marked as inactive and therefore no longer appear in autocomplete suggestions – ideal for old or one-time payment partners. iFinance 5.5 also offers significantly faster import of large quantities of online bookings. The account report and the account closing report are now interactive: For each selected selection area, the associated bookings can be displayed directly – from an overview down to the detail, without changing the context.
Price and availability
iFinance 5 currently only costs 19.99 euros (50% discount) for new customers, including free account access for banks with an HBCI/FinTS interface. For banks without an HBCI connection or PayPal, additional costs apply (5.99 euros per month or discounted annual subscription), as the costs for PSD2-compliant regulation from our partner have to be passed on – plus the 30 percent to Apple.
Version 5.5 is available via the Mac App Store and iOS App Store. Users of version 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3 and 5.4 will receive the update for free. Purchase includes both Mac, iPhone and iPad versions. At least macOS 10.15 Catalina or iOS 15 and newer are required. A demo version is available on the product page.
