Seed+Speed Ventures has completed its fundraising for the third fund with 90 million euros – three times as much as originally planned. The VC, led by Carsten Maschmeyer and Alexander Kölpin, announced this on Tuesday. The target size therefore had to be increased twice with the consent of the investors.
Where and how much should be invested?
The fund wants in European pre-seed and seed startups in the B2B and enterprise software sector with an AI connection invest. The initial tickets are between 500,000 and 1.5 million eurosadditional millions (up to a maximum of five million per startup) are available for follow-on rounds. Seed+Speed plans seven to nine new investments every year.
Beyond DACH for the first time
While the first two funds focused on German-speaking countries, Seed+Speed III is opening up to the whole of Europe for the first time.

According to the company, the team has already made 13 investments since the summer of 2024. These include the Dutch Orq.ai (generative AI platform, five million euros seed), the Düsseldorf-based RIIICO (AI factory planning, five million US dollars seed) and the Austrian Optimuse (AI for building engineering, four million euros seed).
What can startups expect?
With the larger fund size wants Seed+Speed now more often than Act as lead or co-lead investor. The team primarily supports portfolio companies in setting up sales structures and provides a dedicated support team for sales, PR and marketing.
The better-known portfolio companies from the previous funds include Finanzguru, Pliant, Kertos, Prewave and Prezise.ai, which has already recorded an exit. According to the announcement, the investors in the new fund include banks, foundations, family offices and wealthy private individuals – including founders from previous Seed+Speed investments.
