In the hope that role models have a positive effect, as part of International Women’s Day on March 8th, together with the AI initiative AI NATION, we are introducing some female founders of popular or up-and-coming AI startups that you should know (alphabetically according to the names of the startups).

Barbara Bachus is co-founder of ExoMatter, a platform for materials research and development. ExoMatter draws on material data from numerous scientific sources – and/or its own data – and uses AI to enrich the data. A variety of multidimensional physical, chemical and engineering criteria as well as sustainability properties and expected costs can be taken into account.
Nina Germanus, Co-Founder and Co-CEO, Green Fusion
Nina Germanus is co-founder and CEO of Green Fusion. The startup has developed an “energy saving pilot” that digitizes boiler rooms. The solution also ensures automation and optimization of the entire operation for maximum efficiency and sustainability in the housing industry. The well-known investors HV Capital, XAnge, BitStone Capital, Übermorgen Ventures, kopa ventures, Vireo Ventures and Brandenburg Kapital recently invested 12 million euros in Green Fusion.

Claudia Ehmke is co-founder and CPO at the healthtech startup Oska Health, which uses coaches and AI to help people with chronic illnesses change their behavior towards a healthier lifestyle. The Belgian investor Capricorn Partners, SwissHealth Ventures, Revent, Calm Storm, BMH, LBBW Venture Capital, GoHub Ventures and Aurum Impact recently invested 11 million euros in Oska. Hessen Kapital and business angels such as Marc Griefahn, Thorsten Richter and Björn Englund previously invested 2.5 million in the company.
