The selection is so large that there is even one every year Gallery Weekend is organized where selected galleries have a kind of open day. Of course you can also visit the galleries on other days. I recently went to several different openings and now I present these to you 3 art galleries in Berlin in more detail! The visit is worth it if you are interested contemporary art interested. Berlin Gallery in Kreuzberg

Our first stop is the Berlin Gallery in Kreuzbergwithin walking distance of U Moritzplatz. In fact, it even counts as Museum of Modern Art, Architecture and Photography. The building itself is well worth seeing! The collection is huge and includes some controversial works from 1870 to today.

You can visit the museum Wednesdays to Mondays for 8 euros, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

KW Institute for Contemporary Art

Exhibitions, events and ongoing collaboration with artists: That’s what draws it KW Institute for Contemporary Art been out for 25 years. You will find the gallery in a backyard on Auguststrasse, near the Rosenthaler Platz. It is considered one of the most important institutions for contemporary art in Germany. It does not have its own collection, but functions as a laboratory with exhibitions, studios and events. The KW also founded the Biennale for Contemporary Art in 1997.

You can visit the exhibitions Wednesday to Monday between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., admission is again 8 euros.

You can also find it on Auguststrasse, within walking distance of the KW me Collectors Room. A few years ago I was able to watch a Fashion Week show there. There is something behind it private museum for art collections. You can see a lot there! On the ground floor, collectors from all over the world show highlights from collections that are otherwise not public. On the first floor is the Olbrecht Chamber of Wonders to see, a private collection of over 300 curiosities from the Renaissance and Baroque.
