The vibe coding startup Lovable wants to automatically pay all full-time employees ten percent more salary every year on their work anniversary – in order to attract and retain talent in the long term.

“We don’t take employee retention for granted. It is seen as a growing value that is actively recognized and rewarded,” Elena Varna, Growth Operator at Lovable, wrote in a Linkedin post on Thursday.

Lovable focuses on long-term employee loyalty

Lovable enables users to build apps, websites and digital products using AI prompts. The startup was only founded in 2023 and was valued at $6.6 billion in December.

“People become more valuable the longer they stay – and they shouldn’t have to worry about whether they’ll get a raise or not,” Anton Osika wrote in an X-post, sharing a screenshot of Varna’s post.

“The longer someone stays at Lovable, the better they understand the company, contribute to the dynamic and shape the culture,” Maryanne Caughey told us. According to Caughey, the rule applies to all full-time employees who meet performance expectations.
