In a recent evaluation, the German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ) has selected the best electricity providers in Germany for 2026 and thus provides the data basis for our current ranking. This results in the following rankings for the best electricity providers in the Republic in the current year.

Many electricity providers still have potential to improve. Energy prices in particular continue to be a major point of criticism. Nevertheless, there are electricity providers who are rated well this year and this shows that customers can optimally conclude an energy supply contract with these electricity providers and then receive energy at reasonable conditions. 10th place: Polarstern

Polarstern, a provider from Munich, is in tenth place in the ranking of the best electricity providers in Germany in 2026. Polarstern received a total of 70.9 points from the DISQ and thus an overall rating of “good”. By the way: All electricity providers that made it into the ranking in 2026 remain “good”. The differences between Polarstern and the other providers represented are not necessarily big. Sometimes it’s all about small details.
