The “Startup Marketer of the Year” award focused on those who determine startup success: marketers.

At the “Startup Marketer of the Year” award, Gründerszene, together with Jung von Matt START, put the spotlight on exactly the people who are often underestimated in the startup ecosystem – but who have a say in success or failure: marketers.

Because the thesis of the evening is clear: behind every strong startup story there is always strong marketing. The best product is of little use if the brand does nothing. Attention, trust and relevance do not arise by chance, they are built.

The basis for the award was the “Startup Brand Ranking 2025”. More than 50 brands have qualified and nominated the marketers who are largely behind their brand development.

The jury of the award brought together central heads from marketing, investment and entrepreneurship: Lupo Porschen, founder of Glitter Spritz, Paula Enzweiler, founder of Fahrradmaus, Dennis Ahrling, partner at German Media Pool, Simon Knittel from Jung von Matt Start, Niklas Schwab, founder of hedge fund Henning, Klara Kühn, executive at Appinio, Vladislav Gachyn, founder of Goldies, Stefanie Unger from The Agency Berlin, Leo Ginsburg, head of Gründerszene and the AI Avatar Wincent AI.
