EDITOR’S RECOMMENDATIONS AND SUGGESTIONS FOR A HAPPY EASTER (AND BEYOND)
It’s spring. At least meteorologically and calendar-wise. We Central Europeans and especially Northern Europeans also notice this because even with the slightest guest appearances of the sun, the urge to go outside increases. The Easter days, which are quite early in the calendar this year, make the feeling even more urgent. However, whether the weather really cooperates is another question. But we would all be happy about a sunny Easter with mild temperatures. The weather forecast for Easter so far (when this text was written on the Wednesday before Easter) suggests rather mixed weather, but perhaps at least Easter Monday will be quite friendly (albeit cool).
Doesn’t matter. Whenever the opportunity arises, it’s worth getting a breath of fresh air. Whether in the mountains or by the sea, in the big city or in the country. But there’s one thing we definitely don’t want to be without when we’re on the move: our beloved iPhone. But we don’t have to stare at it all the time or post everything on Insta that isn’t up by three. Let it go, dude! But the iPhone still comes with it.
For perhaps the first nice bike ride of the year, that means we need some form of transportation. Not just for the iPhone, but also for food. In addition to bags for the luggage rack or containers mounted elsewhere on the bike, specially optimized backpacks are a good option, especially for racing bikes/gravel bikers. Like the Deuter Race Air, which is available in different sizes and volumes. This backpack should not only be particularly light, it has also been optimized with a kind of rounded back shape to suit the posture of “lowered” racing cyclists and should ensure particularly good ventilation.
The Deuter Race Air is available in various stylish colors and costs around 105 euros from the manufacturer. Depending on the variant, you can get it significantly cheaper on Amazon. Like the Race Air 10 (liter) for 63.99 euros (-39%).
Deuter has numerous other backpacks on offer for a wide variety of applications. It’s worth browsing.

SOUND FOR ON THE GO
A decent outdoor speaker is recommended for discreet sound at a picnic or for subsequent dance performances with your loved one. Such as the Teufel Rockster Cross 2, which was tested here and found to be very good. It is currently on offer at Amazon for 50 euros less than the RRP. In three different color variants.
The practical qualities of the Teufel Rockster Cross 2 convinced me. I can highly recommend this Bluetooth box. Also and especially because of the slightly different design.
If you don’t want it to be so expensive and less bulky – because of small luggage – and perhaps a little more romantic, then perhaps this cute little retro speaker for just (around) 20 euros is something for you. Certainly not a sound miracle and certainly not suitable for party levels, but you don’t always have to force the entire park with sound.
It’s even quieter with good mobile headphones. Apple AirPods, especially the Pro, are always a good choice, although they wouldn’t win any competitions when it comes to unadulterated naturalness. But they are functional and perfect for pleasant casual listening. – Which is why they are so successful.
The highly recommended AirPods Pro 3 are currently listed on Amazon for 199 euros (-20%). With these all-rounders you are guaranteed not to go wrong, especially as an iPhone user.
If you want something more demanding in terms of sound, Bluetooth over-ear headphones are particularly recommended. It doesn’t have to be the AirPods Max 2. For less than half the price, namely currently only 228 euros, you can get the outstandingly good (see test report) Cambridge Audio Melomania P100 SE.
From the REWIND test conclusion: As long as you don’t expect luxury materials with gold leaf and other chi-chi for this amount, the Cambridge P100 is one of the best offers in the entire headphone market in a long, long time. Not only does it sound better than the majority of BT headphones up to around 500 euros, it is also unpretentious to use, wears well, can be used in a variety of ways and is a real endurance champion. There is also the environmental aspect. How many headphone manufacturers already allow their customers to replace an old battery themselves for just 30 euros?
Some lighting is helpful for trips (or camping) that continue until dark despite the longer days. For example, this new LED lamp called “Naturbummler”, which comes from the German startup of the same name, would be stylish.
The lamp, which matches the look and style of the retro radio above, offers adjustable light output between 15 and 450 lumens, adjustable light color and has a 5200 mAh battery, the capacity of which can also be used as a power bank via a USB port. The lamp is currently available on Amazon and in the Naturbummler online shop for 39.90 euros.
