Innovative advertising campaign from Apple
Visually, the mascot is a small blue figure that looks as if its face was taken from the well-known Finder logo. To date, Apple has never had such a playful advertising character. A fan base quickly formed among the targeted group of buyers. AI-generated images of the Lil Finder Guy quickly circulated, which enthusiastic users created.
Background information about the campaign briefly on LinkedIn
New background information about this campaign was only briefly available on the career network LinkedIn. There, Sofia Coelho, art director at Apple, published, among other things, sketches and images of the prototype of the model and provided further information about its creation. So we now know that the mascot was born on March 4, 2026 at 11 a.m. and was the same size as an apple. In the post, Coelho also describes her experience leading the visual design team as a dream project.
Post no longer available
The original post is no longer available on LinkedIn and has apparently been deleted. Backgrounds for this are not available. It is unclear who did the deletion and why. Apple is known as a company for its strict confidentiality policy – including towards its employees. Parts of the post such as images and Sofia Coelho’s alleged text can still be found in other sources and social networks as some users have taken screenshots. There is no way to check the authenticity of the picture, but at the moment there seems to be no evidence against its authenticity.
