Perched high above the Ionian Sea, surrounded by lush gardens, historic architecture and breathtaking views over Sicily’s coastline, this iconic hotel feels less like a hotel and more like stepping into a cinematic dream. From the moment we arrived, everything about our stay felt magical.

Even though the weather surprised us with a few colder moments at the beginning, Taormina still managed to completely steal our hearts.

Our Stay at Four Seasons Taormina
We checked into the beautiful Sea View Executive Suite overlooking the Mediterranean — waking up to those endless sea views every morning honestly felt unreal. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is timeless: historic cloisters, elegant Italian interiors, peaceful gardens and that unmistakable Four Seasons attention to detail.
One of my personal highlights? The breakfast.
Slow Sicilian mornings at San Domenico Palace quickly became our favorite ritual. Fresh pastries, Italian coffee, local specialties and the most incredible setting overlooking the sea — truly breakfast heaven.

The iconic infinity pool overlooking the coastline is just as beautiful in real life as you would imagine. Every corner of this hotel feels picture-perfect while still feeling warm and relaxed at the same time.
Culinary Experiences
During our stay, we also had the chance to experience some truly unforgettable dining moments.
Lunch at Rosso Restaurant was the perfect start to our Taormina days — elegant Italian cuisine paired with stunning Mediterranean views and the relaxed Sicilian atmosphere we instantly fell in love with.

One of the absolute highlights was dinner at the Michelin-starred Principe Cerami by Chef Massimo Mantarro. A refined and intimate dining experience celebrating Sicilian cuisine in the most beautiful way.
We also loved our aperitivo at Bar & Chiostro, located inside the hotel’s historic monastery cloister. Candlelight, timeless arches and the magical Taormina evening atmosphere made it feel incredibly special.

For a more relaxed evening, dinner at Anciovi perfectly captured authentic coastal Sicilian dining with fresh seafood and local flavors.
The Magic of Taormina
There is something so special about Taormina. The mix of Italian elegance, historic charm, breathtaking sea views and relaxed Sicilian lifestyle creates a feeling that’s hard to describe, but impossible to forget.
And of course, staying at the famous filming location of HBO’s The White Lotus made the experience feel even more iconic.
We already miss our morning views, golden sunsets and peaceful evenings overlooking the sea.
