Every business relies on a unique mix of SaaS applications and custom systems, but Salesforce Flow automation has often depended on the connectors already available. MuleSoft Connector Builder and Salesforce CLI change that model by empowering customers to build and deploy private connectors tailored to their own processes.
Separately, ISV partners can develop their own connectors for widely shared integration needs, package and test them, complete Salesforce Security Review, and publish them on AgentExchange – potentially reaching more than 150,000 Salesforce customers. Together, these two paths expand the connectivity available to Flow builders and make it easier to automate processes across the systems their organizations depend on.
From APIs to Connectors with natural language
Building a connector begins with understanding an external API and translating its capabilities into reusable actions for automation. MuleSoft Connector Builder shortens this journey by supporting two starting points: teams can use an existing OpenAPI 3.0 specification, or in an AI IDE such as Cursor, describe their priority use cases in natural language and direct the agent to official API documentation.
Supported by MuleSoft MCP tools, the AI agent can research a REST based SaaS API, generate or validate the OpenAPI specification, and create the foundation of the connector project. Developers remain in control throughout the process – reviewing the specification, selecting and refining the relevant operations, validating connector behavior, and preparing the project for packaging.
| API specification → Connector Builder project → testing and refinement → Flow connector JAR |
Key capabilities
- Shared connectivity foundation: Connector Builder creates a canonical connectivity model that reflects the underlying API specification. Platform specific connector models can build on this shared foundation, adding the transformations and customizations needed for Salesforce Flow or Anypoint Platform. This approach allows teams to reuse the core API definition while tailoring the connector experience to its target platform
- Agent-assisted development: In any AI IDE, Agent and MuleSoft MCP tools support tasks such as API research, specification generation and validation, base connectivity, connection profiles, operations, pagination, test generation, and project builds. The experience follows a prompt, review, and refine model: the agent automates repeatable development tasks, while the developer reviews each stage and decides when the project is ready to move forward
- Advanced customization: Connector Builder combines an agent-first development experience with the flexibility of LinkWeave, a connectivity language built on DataWeave. When generated behavior needs to be adapted, advanced teams can use LinkWeave to add custom logic, mappings, and platform specific transformations on top of the shared connector model
Once the connector has been reviewed and tested, it can be compiled into a release artifact and prepared for deployment. From there, customers and ISV partners can follow different paths depending on whether the connector is intended for private use in a single Salesforce org or broader distribution through AgentExchange.
From Connector build to deployment and distribution
Once Connector Builder compiles the project into a Flow connector JAR, the next step depends on how the connector will be used. A Salesforce CLI-powered release workflow supports two distinct paths: customers can deploy private connectors to their own Salesforce orgs, while ISV partners can package and distribute their own connectors through AgentExchange.
Private deployment for customers
For an organization building a bespoke integration or supplementing an out-of-the-box MuleSoft connector with operations specific to its business, the path is direct. The Flow connector JAR can be deployed to a Salesforce org as an IntegArtifactDef metadata component using Salesforce CLI, without requiring an AgentExchange listing. Once the connector is deployed and configured, it appears under Automation > Integrations, and its operations become available as actions in Flow Builder.
| Flow connector JAR → Salesforce metadata project → direct org deployment → connection configuration → actions available in Flow Builder |

Distribution for ISV partners
ISV partners building their own connectors for broader distribution can package each connector as a standalone second-generation managed package, or 2GP. Partners can test the connector and package in scratch orgs, confirm that the package is ready to list, follow secure DataWeave development practices, and run the required Salesforce Code Analyzer checks before submitting it for AgentExchange Security Review. After the package passes review, the partner can publish a public AgentExchange listing or distribute the connector privately through a direct package URL.

NexTurn Klaviyo Connector for Salesforce Flow by NexTurn
A change in a customer’s status should quickly influence how that customer is engaged. Salesforce brings together identity, sales, service, lifecycle, and consent data, while Klaviyo manages profiles, audiences, campaigns, and engagement activity. When information moves between the platforms through manual exports or delayed synchronization, audience segments can become outdated, campaign execution can slow down, and communications may no longer reflect the customer’s latest context.
The NexTurn Klaviyo Connector is designed to make selected Klaviyo operations available as invokable actions in Salesforce Flow. Teams can create and update customer profiles, manage lists and segments, support campaign-related processes, retrieve engagement events, and apply communication preferences. A change in lifecycle stage, customer status, or consent in Salesforce could therefore initiate the appropriate update in Klaviyo, helping marketing and operations teams reduce manual list management and respond more quickly to customer signals.
NexTurn is a technology first engineering and digital transformation firm that helps organizations modernize cloud applications, data platforms, integrations, and infrastructure across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Its expertise spans cloud and product engineering, data and AI, Salesforce and Agentforce, enterprise integration, and Oracle technologies.
Klaviyo is the first connector in NexTurn’s planned portfolio, with Mixpanel and Quantcast expected to extend the initiative into product analytics and audience intelligence. Together, these planned connectors are intended to help organizations bring customer, behavioral, and audience signals into Salesforce led automation, enabling more informed and responsive experiences across marketing, sales, and service.

Belladati Shopify Connector for Salesforce Flow by Belladati
An e-commerce transaction often triggers work far beyond the storefront. Shopify and Shopify Plus manage products, customers, orders, inventory, discounts, and fulfillment, while Salesforce is where sales, service, marketing, and operations teams often coordinate the broader customer relationship. When these environments are disconnected, employees may need to switch between applications, transfer information manually, and make decisions without a complete view of the customer or order.
The Belladati Shopify Connector for Salesforce Flow addresses this gap by making Shopify Admin API capabilities available as invokable Flow actions. It supports product and catalog management, customer lookup and creation, order retrieval and updates, fulfillment tracking, inventory coordination, discount management, draft orders for assisted selling, and event-driven automation. A service agent could retrieve current order and delivery information while handling a case, a salesperson could initiate a draft order from a Salesforce led process, and an operations team could automate inventory or fulfillment tasks without creating a separate integration for each scenario.
Belladati is a Salesforce partner specializing in Data Cloud, AI, Agentforce, Marketing Cloud, and MuleSoft. The company helps organizations connect applications, unify data, automate business processes, and activate intelligent customer experiences across the Salesforce ecosystem. Its work on the Shopify connector combines integration expertise, certified MuleSoft capabilities, and customer focused design to turn a common Shopify to Salesforce requirement into a packaged capability that organizations can adopt and extend.
Rather than treating every commerce use case as a separate development project, organizations can use the connector as a shared foundation for automations across customer service, assisted selling, ecommerce operations, fulfillment, and marketing. The initiative also extends Belladati’s collaboration with MuleSoft on additional connectors for Salesforce Flow, contributing to a broader ecosystem of reusable, business ready integration capabilities.
