Job Purpose: Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the X-Ray and CT Scan departments, ensuring efficient, high-quality, and safe diagnostic imaging services for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the X-Ray and CT Scan departments, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient patient service.
- Prepare monthly staff rosters to ensure punctuality and adequate coverage for smooth departmental operations.
- Lead and coordinate radiology staff, including radiographers, technologists, and support staff; manage schedules, training, and performance.
- Ensure high-quality imaging standards, proper equipment calibration, and regular maintenance of X-Ray and CT scan machines.
- Monitor adherence to radiation safety protocols and patient preparation procedures, ensuring patient comfort during imaging.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation, report delivery, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Maintain inventory of consumables and oversee equipment upkeep, repairs, and AMC coordination.
- Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure appropriate imaging protocols and diagnostic accuracy.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, define departmental standards, and assist in audits or inspections as needed.
