Proxima Fusion
+++ The English DeepTech investor XTX Ventures, the venture capital arm of XTX Markets, the London DeepTech financier East X Ventures, the venture capital arm of East redalpine, Leitmotif, Elaia, CDP Venture Capital, Bayern Kapital and EIC Fund are investing 411 million euros (468 million US dollars) in Proxima Fusion. The valuation is 2.4 billion euros (2.7 billion US dollars). This means that the company, which has long been traded as Soonicorn, is becoming a unicorn. “This makes Proxima Fusion the best-financed fusion company in Europe and, with its rating, is also one of the top fusion energy companies in the world,” the new unicorn proudly announces. Proxima Fusion, founded in Munich in 2023 by Francesco Sciortino, Lucio Milanese, Jorrit Lion, Martin Kubie and Jonathan Schilling, develops fusion power plants based on the stellarator concept. The Italian investor CDP Venture Capital, European Innovation Council Fund (EICF) and Brevan Howard Macro Venture Fund recently invested 15 million euros in Proxima Fusion. ARC
+++ The Munich investor 42CAP as well as the old investors 468 Capital and IBB Ventures are investing 4 million in ARC. The Berlin startup, founded in 2024 by Clemens Wessendorff and Simon Zimmermann, focuses on “financial performance for corporate groups”. “ARC is intended for CFOs and finance teams in corporate groups with multiple company codes who want to consistently compare actual/plan/forecast and understand deviations right up to booking,” says the concept. 468 Capital and IBB Ventures previously invested 1 million euros in the young company. The team would like to use the fresh capital to “further expand its product development”. More about ARC
Porelio
+++ The Portuguese investor Faber, Polytechnique Ventures (France), Grupo Tecnológica (Spain) and the angel network better ventures are investing 2.4 million euros in Porelio . The DeepTech startup from Berlin, 2025 by Rhea Machado, Nikol Michailidou and Javier Silva Mora foundedprovides the industry with state-of-the-art, “highly efficient materials that meet the critical challenges of chemical process cleaning and carbon capture.” The fresh capital will enable the “9-person deep tech company to accelerate its technological development.” More about Porelio
Tentris
+++ The Swiss venture capitalist Bloomhaus Ventures, the Munich financier Vanagon Ventures, the Berlin SME tech investor altitude (whom the team met at our STARTUPLAND Conference), 10x Value Partners and business angel Pascal Wichmann are investing 925,000 euros in Tentris. In addition, there is 1 million euros in the form of funding (EXIST). The startup from Bielefeld, founded in 2024 by Alexander Bigerl, Tobias Rebert, Nikolaos Karalis and Axel-Cyrille Ngonga Ngomo as a spin-off from the University of Paderborn, wants to establish a new generation of graph databases. “These represent knowledge in a similar way to the human brain; not as individual data points, but as networked information. This allows companies and AI systems to find the right answers and make better decisions much more quickly,” says the team, which was the overall pitch contest winner in STARTUPLAND in 2026.
