The island will soon take center stage across North American screens as the breathtaking setting for Lifetime’s romantic drama Terry McMillan Presents: Paradise with Youpremiering in Fall 2026 as part of the network’s popular “Love of a Lifetime” slate.
Filmed entirely on location, the production brings Nevis’ natural beauty and quiet, timeless romance to a wide international audience. Supported by the Nevis Film Commission and the Nevis Tourism Authority, the project marks another step in the island’s steady rise as a sought-after filming destination. Its blend of unspoiled landscapes, heritage architecture and understated Caribbean charm has increasingly drawn filmmakers looking for authenticity rather than spectacle.
The film stars Taye Diggs, alongside Heather Hemmens — who also serves as executive producer — and Cynthia Bailey. Troy Brookins and Q Stenline (SwagBoyQ) round out the cast. The project reunites Diggs with bestselling author Terry McMillan for their fourth collaboration, alongside the creative team behind The Ninth House.
In the film, Carter (Diggs), an NFL superstar nearing retirement, escapes to Nevis in search of peace and perspective. There, he meets Simone (Hemmens), an interior designer rebuilding her life after betrayal. Their connection unfolds easily against the island’s lush scenery and slower pace — until they discover they are competing for ownership of the same coveted estate. What begins as a romance shaped by chance becomes a question of choice: love or ambition.
