“In the coming year, internationalization will be our clear focus. Countries like Italy are on our map,” says Norman Koerschulte, founder of the drone startup Morpheus Logistik. “Overall, we expect growth of a factor of 10 for 2026,” he continues.
Morpheus Logistics from Dortmund, founded in 2024 by Norman Koerschulte and Burkhart Koerschulte, is developing an automated drone system for safe and regular transport over fixed routes.
“Our drone solutions can be tailored precisely to the needs of different industries. We ensure a fast, reliable and sustainable connection that not only increases productivity, but also reduces logistics costs,” promises the team from the Ruhr area.
In an interview with deutsche-startups.de, Morpheus logistics maker Norman Koerschulte looks back in detail on the year that has almost passed.
2025 is almost over. What was the highlight for you in the last few months?
The undisputed highlight of this year for me was our appearance at the economic summit. It wasn’t just a statement, but a clear signal: We at Morpheus set standards, we shape the future – together. It was then that I clearly sensed how far we have already come and how many people share our vision.
What didn’t go well for you in 2025?
Of course, not everything went smoothly: the issue of building law in Iserlohn in particular slowed us down and taught us important lessons. We now know: taking new paths also means leaving old paths and it is important to focus more strongly than ever on legal and regulatory decisions.
Which project is at the top of your agenda in 2026?
In the coming year, internationalization will be our clear focus. Countries like Italy are on our map, but not only that: our “Stiff Briese” project marks the next big step. A strong, strategic infrastructure project that will have an impact far beyond Germany.
What are your economic expectations for 2026?
Our initial situation has rarely been as strong as it is now. The demand is there, the technology is there, the regulatory advancements are there and our team is ready. Overall, we expect growth of a factor of 10 for 2026.
What do you personally have planned for 2026?
I want to get closer and closer to our vision of building Morpheus as Europe’s first and leading drone airline. We want to be at the top. Of course, this can only be achieved if we maintain and further expand the level of our great team.
