The Can Bordoy Grand House & Garden in Palma
Anyone traveling to Mallorca should definitely not miss a few days in Palma. Our favorite hotel in the old town: the Can Bordoy Grand House & Garden. Each of the boutique hotel’s 24 suites is unique. But no matter which one you choose: you can of course look forward to an individual interior with many special design highlights in every suite.
Not to forget the fantastic roof terrace and the largest private garden in the entire city. And the hotel’s own gourmet restaurant Botànic, where the focus is on vegetables according to the motto “Green is the new sexy”. Another (of many) highlights: breakfast is served to hotel guests all day long.
The Finca Serena in Monturi in the center of the island
Finca Serena was built in an old country house that perfectly embodies the island’s relaxed Mediterranean charm. I always rave when I talk about this hotel, which celebrates the luxury of simplicity. The architecture of a centuries-old finca was retained; in the hotel, which opened in 2019, traditional elements enter into a liaison with modern design.
The property is surrounded by countless olive and lemon trees, cypresses and a vineyard. The extensive property is around 40 hectares in size. The rooms are flooded with light, Scandinavian minimalist details meet warm colors, floor-to-ceiling windows and natural materials. A hotel dream come true for every interior lover!
The Can Aulí Luxury Retreat in Pollença
A visit to the charming old town of Pollença should also be on every Mallorca bucket list. If you are not only planning a day trip, but also want to spend a few days in the city (very worth it!), then we can wholeheartedly recommend the Can Aulí Luxury Retreat. Here, history-rich walls from the 17th century meet modern design, Mediterranean colors, local art and Mallorcan hospitality. Each room and suite is unique.
The attention to detail starts with breakfast, which is served in an open kitchen and varies every day. If you want, you can sit down to eat in the charming courtyard. A wonderfully beautiful place where time seems to stand still. A little oasis – in the middle of the city.
The Lodge Mallorca in Sa Pobla
In the spring two years ago, a very special hotel project by Único Hotels opened its doors on a former estate in the north of the Balearic island: the luxurious boutique hotel The Lodge Mallorca in Sa Pobla. The property of Finca Serena’s sister hotel extends over a total of 157 hectares in a private nature reserve. The area is so large that there are even several hiking routes on it.
Only 24 suites, designed with attention to detail, are spread across the property and are all designed to provide maximum privacy. In the Adults Only Hotel, traditional Mallorcan elements and local antiques meet a modern, timeless design in subtle natural tones.
The heart of the hotel: the large infinity pool, over which the Singular Restaurant sits enthroned and offers a fantastic view. The team of chef Ramón Freixa, who has been awarded two Michelin stars, celebrates the traditional Mallorcan fire kitchen “La cocina del fuego”.
The Calatrava Mediterranean Sea House in Palma
If you want to wake up in the charming old town of Palma and with a view of the sea at the same time, the Calatrava Mediterranean Sea House is the perfect choice. A total of three different, very spacious categories are spread across 16 rooms and suites in the boutique hotel. The design: Modern and yet very cozy, with warm colors, lots of art and Mallorcan elements. Breakfast is served on the impressive semi-covered roof terrace, which offers fantastic views of Palma Bay.
A special treat? The location! In just a few minutes you can walk to the famous cathedral.
The Es Figueral Nou Hotel Rural & Spa in Montuiri
Just a few kilometers from Finca Serena is the Es Figueral Nou Hotel Rural & Spa – a boutique hotel in a restored 17th century finca, embedded in an impressive property of over 50,000 square meters. The rooms and suites are designed with great attention to detail, fantastic views open up from the pool, and the extensive garden shows the Mediterranean vegetation of the Balearic Islands in all its splendor. A special highlight is the in-house restaurant Es Pati de Montuïri, which also warmly welcomes external guests.
