The iPhone Ultra is said to have a 5.5″ display on the outside. If you open the device, a 7.8″ screen is revealed, which is only slightly smaller than an iPad mini. The advantages of such a device are obvious: It is “pocket-friendly” – and if you need a larger screen, you simply fold it up. But the design is of course not without disadvantages: the customer has to do without Face ID due to the thickness of the housing – Apple will rely on Touch ID in the standby button. Furthermore, the price of the iPhone Ultra could break the $2,000 mark in the basic configuration.
New model pictures give a first impression
A photo of a dummy of the iPhone Ultra appeared a week ago – but now the leaker Sonny Dickson published further photos that give you a much better impression of the final device:
In the first two pictures the device is shown in the closed state. The frame is silver, the back with cameras is white. The outer screen uses the entire surface and the Face Time camera can be seen on the top. When opened, the 7.8″ inner screen is revealed. The Face Time camera is located here in the top left corner. How this is integrated into the displayed user interface is not yet known.
Just one case color?
So far, the rumor mill has said that Apple will offer the iPhone Ultra in black and white – but Sonny Dickson writes that the company may initially only launch the iPhone Ultra in one color, namely white. Unfortunately, it is not known where Dickson got this information.
