But now, according to a discovery by MacRumors, a new Apple display has appeared in a database of a Chinese regulatory authority. Typically, this is a pretty sure sign that an announcement is coming in a few weeks or months. This week, hints emerged that Apple may unveil new MacBook Pro models on January 28th – and this would be a good opportunity to introduce new screens to the public too.
The model number of the new screen is “A3350” and is described as a “High Performance LCD Display”. Unfortunately, the entry does not provide any further information – and therefore it is currently unclear whether the new screen is the successor to the Studio Display, the Pro Display XDR or even a completely new screen.
Studio display with A19
According to previous rumor sources, the successor to the current Studio Display should have an A19 or A19 Pro chip and finally provide support for ProMotion with up to 120 Hz. According to reports, Apple is also planning to install a panel with a high dynamic range, as is the case with the MacBook Pro. Nothing is known about pricing yet.
