Nassau Cruise Port and the Bahamas National Trust have formed a three-year partnership to promote sustainable tourism, environmental education, and conservation. The initiative includes a $75,000 commitment and the launch of the Blue Green Bahamas program to raise awareness among visitors and residents about protecting the nation’s ecosystems.
Nassau, The Bahamas — Nassau Cruise Port (NCP) and the Bahamas National Trust (BNT) have announced a new three-year strategic partnership focused on promoting environmental stewardship, strengthening community engagement, and advancing sustainable tourism across The Bahamas.
As part of the agreement, Nassau Cruise Port will join the BNT Corporate Partnership Program as a Steward Level Partnercommitting $75,000 over three years. The funding will support conservation initiatives and public awareness campaigns designed to highlight the importance of protecting the country’s natural resources.
A central pillar of the collaboration is the Blue Green Bahamas: Visitor Awareness Initiativefor which Nassau Cruise Port will serve as the Founding Corporate Partner. The program aims to educate both cruise visitors and residents about the value of The Bahamas’ ecosystems and encourage responsible environmental practices.
Educational materials will be integrated throughout the cruise port experience, including short-form environmental videos, eco-awareness signage featuring QR-linked content, and digital storytelling campaigns. In addition, frontline staff will be equipped with key messaging to engage visitors in conversations about environmental responsibility during their stay.

Beyond environmental education, the partnership will also support the Bahamas National Trust’s annual Wine & Art Festivalan event that attracts more than 1,500 attendees each year. Nassau Cruise Port participated as a Silver Sponsor in this year’s festival, which celebrates art, culture, and conservation while bringing together local and international visitors, corporate leaders, and members of the creative community.
