I admit: I love surprises. That’s exactly why I was excited to see what awaited me in the Mystery Box. After all, the concept sounds tempting: you order a box, you don’t know the contents beforehand and, according to the provider, you receive high-quality products from the areas of technology, household and lifestyle. The total value should be at least twice as high as the purchase price.
Of course I wanted to know whether this would be convincing in practice.
The first impression
The Mystery Box is fun even when you unpack it. You really don’t know what to expect – and that’s exactly what makes it so attractive. The products were neatly packaged.
My box contained various gadgets and practical everyday helpers. Some I probably wouldn’t have bought myself, others I can actually put to good use.
That was in my mystery box?
The mini WiFi HD camera
The most exciting product in the box was a small WiFi HD camera.
It is surprisingly compact and features, among other things:
- WiFi function
- HD resolution
- Night vision
- Motion detection
- App connection
The camera is suitable, for example, as a small surveillance camera for the home or for observing pets.
Philips Dual USB Car ChargerA practical companion for the car.
The charging adapter offers:

- a total of 12 watts charging power

This is particularly practical when there are several people on the go.
Hamburg press
A kitchen helper that I actually haven’t owned before.
With the hamburger press, burger patties can be formed evenly. Anyone who grills more often or prepares burgers themselves will probably enjoy it.
Qi wireless charger
A wireless charging pad for smartphones with Qi function.
Simply place your smartphone on and charge it – without any tangled cables.

A rather unusual product in the box.
The set is used to remove earwax and contains flexible attachments. It’s probably rare to buy something like this yourself – but I’ll definitely try it out.
Wooden brush set
A small set of three wooden cleaning brushes.
I particularly like the natural look. The brushes are suitable, for example, for:
- fruit and vegetables
- Kitchen utensils
- minor cleaning work
Small LED flashlight
Also included was a compact LED flashlight.
Such small lamps are always practical – whether in the car, when camping or simply in the drawer in case of an emergency.
Bob and Brad Massage Gun
For me personally, it’s definitely the highlight of the entire box.
The massage gun comes from Bob and Brada brand that is well known in the massage device sector.
The scope of delivery includes:
- several massage attachments
- Transport case
- charger
I can easily imagine using it regularly, especially after exercise or long days at work.
My personal conclusion
Of course, with mystery boxes you never know whether the contents will exactly suit your taste. After all, that’s part of the concept.
There were products in my box that I would probably never have bought myself – for example the earwax remover or the hamburger press. At the same time, there were some really useful surprises.
I particularly liked:
- the massage gun
- the mini HD camera
- the Qi charger
- the Philips car charger
I also found it positive that the box only contained new items and the composition was varied. According to the provider, the content is changed regularly and comes from different categories such as technology, household, travel or lifestyle. In addition, Mystery-Box.de promises a goods value of at least twice the purchase price.
Anyone who loves surprises and is open to new products will definitely have fun with a box like this. On the other hand, if you are specifically looking for specific items, you will of course be better off with a classic purchase.
For me, unpacking was definitely a little experience – and that’s exactly what a mystery box is all about.

My verdict:
The mix was varied, the overall quality of the products was impressive and the unpacking experience was definitely fun. The Mystery Box is an interesting idea, especially for people who like surprises or are looking for an original gift.
