Delivery times of up to two months
Depending on the configuration selected, up to two months can pass between order and delivery. This is usually Apple’s approach when a device’s model cycle is nearing the end. The empty warehouses are particularly noticeable in the retail sector, as many stores no longer stock the Mac Studio. Things are looking a little better in this country; the basic configuration, for example, is available at short notice. Depending on the equipment chosen, the forecast jumps to March.
M5 Max and M5 Ultra
The basic concept of Mac Studio 2026 will most likely not change. The use of the M5 Max and the M5 Ultra is considered largely safe – unlike the M4, the M5 will again have an Ultra variant. Corresponding information has already appeared in the system depths. While the M5 Pro (the upcoming MacBook Pro) is simply an M5 Max with fewer active cores (see article), the M5 Ultra is its own series. It was said several times that the new Mac Studio would also be accompanied by a new edition of the Studio Display.
Mac Pro also poorly available
Mac Pro delivery forecasts have also jumped, with wait times ranging from two to six weeks. However, it is uncertain whether Apple will come up with an updated generation or discontinue the tower, which currently only has M2 chips. In November, Bloomberg reported that Apple had abandoned the Mac Pro and had no plans to update it in 2026.
