Even greater focus on health from the upcoming Apple boss?

The Apple Watch’s health features consist of measuring vital signs such as pulse, sleep, blood oxygen, exercise and respiratory rate. From this, individualized recommendations can be derived for the user in order to optimize their health and well-being. Previously available smart rings also have comparable functions. It is not yet known whether Apple could come up with fundamentally new functions. The speculation so far mainly concerns the technical basis, such as operation via a haptic rotary controller.

Does a ring make sense for Apple?
A key question is likely to be how useful Apple considers a device that would be more like an Apple Watch Lite in terms of functions. The added value of the ring for users who already have an Apple Watch would most likely be low. In the wake of yesterday’s price increases, a ring could be quite attractive for Apple, as such a device only requires very little memory – the component that is decisive for the price increases. Development is not the same as publishing
If you assume that Apple is really working on a ring internally, that doesn’t necessarily mean that one will come. In the past, Apple has often worked on products only to never bring them onto the market – or only much later. Remember: the development of the iPad began before that of the iPhone and has since been pushed back by years. A mysterious Apple car has repeatedly appeared in rumors since 2015. It cannot therefore be reliably concluded from the development of a ring that it will actually result in a sellable product.
