500 g Kassler, cut into cubes – Find Kassler here –
2 smaller onions
1 lb green beans
Savory – summer savory to taste, fresh or dried
3-4 tbsp sour cream or creme fraiche
1 tbsp butter
salt, pepper to taste
Cooking Instructions Kassler Recipe
- Heat butter, chop onions finely, brown them for a few minutes.
- Cut Kassler into cubes, add to onions. Remove the bones if you use the ribs.
- Place meat into the pan with onions and brown briefly. Set aside.
- Prepare green beans, cut off ends, cut in half if too long, and boil in salted water until they are almost done
- Add the beans to the meat. Mix well.
- Spice to taste.
- Saute until the beans are completely done and the meat as well.
- Add creme fraiche or sour cream.
- Bring to a very brief boil.
- Serve hot with mashed or boiled potatoes.
