TAMARAC, FL — The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) is celebrating a major milestone as Philip Rose, Deputy Director of Tourism, Americashas been honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the 12th Annual Unique Caribbean American Heritage Month (CAHM) & Culture Awardsrecognizing his exceptional leadership and lasting contributions to Jamaica’s tourism industry.
The award was presented on June 28, 2026at the Colony West Golf Club in Tamarac, Florida, where tourism leaders, community advocates, and cultural ambassadors gathered to celebrate individuals whose work has made a meaningful impact throughout the Caribbean and beyond.
For more than two decades, Rose has played a pivotal role in elevating Jamaica’s global tourism profile. Through strategic leadership across Canada, the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean, he has helped drive record-breaking visitor arrivals, expand international airlift, and strengthen partnerships that continue to position Jamaica among the world’s premier travel destinations.
“Philip has contributed significantly to the growth and modernization of Jamaica’s tourism industry,” said Hon. Edmund Bartlett, Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism. “His visionary leadership helped pioneer Jamaica’s engagement with its diaspora and expand our reach in key international markets.
